Your Faculty Discipline Slides provide important information tailored to your area of study, helping you prepare for a successful start at UOW. They include an introduction to your Faculty or School, academic expectations, course-specific advice, key contacts, student support services, and other helpful resources to support you throughout your studies.
Please note: Students commencing their studies in the area of Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and security (ANCHORS), will not have their discipline slides uploaded to this page. Instead, these will be covered in Week 1, when you are on site at UOW Innovation Campus for the intensive teaching week. The degrees included in this area are listed below:
- Graduate Certificate in Maritime Studies
- Master of Maritime Policy
- Master of Fisheries Policy
- Graduate Certificate in Law of the Seas
- Graduate Certificate in Fisheries Policy

Students studying Postgraduate Electrical Power Engineering will have their orientation discipline information covered in their first lectures.
If your discipline slides do not appear on this page, please check back later in the week to see if your Subject Coordinator has made them accessible.

- Subject materials/resources

The Subject Coordinator will also:
- Provide you with feedback on assessment tasks
- Monitor your participation and progress
- Ensure you are submitting genuine, original work in line with the Academic Integrity policy
- Assess applications for Academic Consideration
- Ensure the subject is inclusive for all students
- Ensure that assessment is fair, consistent and maintains academic standards
