Use this website to access key information, pre-orientation activities, and webinars, all in one place to help you prepare for the start of session.

The most important session for you to attend is your Faculty Orientation session. This is designed to provide important information about your faculty, course, introduce you to key staff across UOW, and help you connect with fellow students studying in your faculty.  Attending and making the most of your Orientation day will set you up for success at UOW.

Beginning your studies in Nursing?

If you are undertaking a degree in Bachelor of Nursing, your Orientation will be delivered online. This is for students who:

  • are commencing their first year of the Bachelor of Nursing, OR
  • are entering the second year of the Bachelor of Nursing with Credit for Prior Learning as an Enrolled Nurse with a completed Diploma of Nursing.

Orientation is compulsory and designed to prepare you for the semester ahead.

We also encourage you to engage with the pre-Orientation activities and webinars and, if you're near the UOW Wollongong campus, attend on-campus Orientation events. These opportunities can help you build connections, become familiar with UOW, and start your studies with confidence.

Beginning your studies in the Postgraduate School of Education?

If you are undertaking a postgraduate degree in the School of Education, your Orientation will be delivered online. This applies for students commencing studies in the following courses:

  • Graduate Certificate in Education
  • Graduate Certificate in TESOL
  • Graduate Diploma in TESOL
  • Master of Education
  • Master of Education Extension
