Workshops are concise, practical, and interactive sessions geared towards facilitating the demonstration, sharing and application of actionable strategies for your teaching.
Putting Gen AI into Practice: Learning, Teaching and Educational Innovation
You are invited to attend an interactive, practical, and practice-focused event designed to support your use of generative AI (gen AI) in learning and teaching at UOW.
The event will open with an address from our new DVCA (soon to be DVCE), Professor Helen Partridge, followed by a presentation sharing key insights from the recent UOW Generative AI in Learning and Teaching Survey. This will be followed by a brief overview of current UOW initiatives and updates across the institution.
The second half of the event will feature a series of hands-on workshops, including a World Café session featuring quick-win demonstrations and opportunities to explore gen AI use cases in learning and teaching. This will be followed by more targeted workshop-style sessions designed around the priority areas identified through survey responses.
A formal program will be shared soon. For now, please save the date to ensure you have time reserved in your calendar to attend. Both in-person and online participation options will be available. In-person attendees can take part in the World Café and other workshop sessions, while online participants will have access to a dedicated virtual workshop.
If you haven’t yet completed the survey, please do so — your input will help shape the event, guide the design of the workshops on the day, and inform the development of next year’s professional learning sessions and supporting resources on the topic.
