Welcoming our international students!  

We are delighted to invite new and continuing international students and UOW staff to the upcoming University of Wollongong, Autumn 2026 Welcome to Wollongong event.  

What you can expect at the Welcome to Wollongong event:

  • Free food and entertainment: A 'backyard BBQ' and afternoon tea will be provided whilst enjoying entertainment and activities.

  • Special welcome: Receive a heartfelt welcome from members of the University Executive and the City of Wollongong Lord Mayor. 

  • Community connections: Get ready to mingle and make new connections with UOW students, staff and the local community while celebrating our diverse cultures. 

  • Engage with local community stalls: Explore stalls set up by UOW and the local community, highlighting programs and resources that support international students in Wollongong.
