It's time to Get Started at UOW

The International Student Welcome Sessions will run on Wednesday 3, Thursday 11Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 July at Wollongong campus.

This session is designed for you to receive a warm welcome to the University of Wollongong. The session aims to support you with your adjustment to life in Australia and preparation needed to successfully commence your studies.

It will also be a great chance to meet some new friends! Join us at a Welcome Session and find out how to catch-up on all of the important information you need to Get Started at UOW.

Your Get Started Checklist

  1. Attend an International Student Welcome Session
  2. Enrol in your course and subjects
  3. Create your timetable and enrol in tutorials (or classes)
  4. Organise your student ID card
  5. Get familiar with support services for when you need them
  6. Register for and attend your Orientation Day
  7. Learn about UOW student systems
  8. Go on a campus tour 
  9. Get familiar with the Student Succes Hub
  10. Make some new friends!

Fast Track Welcome Sessions:

Not able to make it to an International Student Welcome Session on the above dates?

Fast Track Sessions will be held in the Student Success Hub (Ground Floor, Building 19) from Weeks 1 - 3. 

Stay informed in this fast-paced session, covering all the essential details from the International Student Welcome Sessions. Learn about your faculty and course, how to navigate UOW systems, and get ready for your transition to life in Australia.

Kickstart Your Experience 

Starting at university can be a daunting time, so we've organised some tailored activities to help you kickstart your time here at UOW. Make new friends and build connections from the start with our Student Success Mentor team. 

These activities are available as part of your registered in-person International Student Welcome Session.

 

Wednesday 3 July

Take an adventure and navigate the UOW campus 'Amazing Race' style, then get the insider tips from students who been in your shoes.

Meet your peers and connect with the Student Success Mentors to get the insider tips from students who have been in your shoes.
