Workshops are concise, practical, and interactive sessions geared towards facilitating the demonstration, sharing and application of actionable strategies for your teaching.

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Basics for Learning & Teaching

This workshop is designed to help you develop your generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) literacy and capabilities. We will cover the basics of how GenAI tools like ChatGPT work; examine both features and limitations; and discuss the importance of a critical approach to the integration of these tools.

We will then share ideas and explore some applications of GenAI as related to learning and teaching, including ‘prompt engineering’, and consider how we can best support students in developing their own GenAI literacy and capabilities to help them be ethical and productive users of the tools.

Please note: this workshop is designed for those unfamiliar with GenAI tools and/or those just wanting to learn the basics and is a re-run.
