It's Go Time!
It’s Go Time is our multi-week approach to Orientation at UOW. We will offer a range of online and in-person events with a focus on the themes of Get Started, Connect and Succeed. By engaging in a range of events across the themes, we believe this will give you the best start to commencing your studies at UOW.
Your It's Go Time checklist
- Enrol in your course & subjects.
- Choose your Orientation Events by registering to Swoogo
- Attend Get Started at UOW Wollongong Campus
- Join the First Year Community on the Student Success Portal (Vygo): https://web.vygo.app/programs

- Seek support and familiarity with services to assist if/as you need it
Did you miss your Faculty Orientation day?
Fast Track Orientation:
If so, it’s critical you attend one of our Fast Track Orientation sessions in the Student Success Hub (Building 19, Ground Floor). These are a valuable opportunity to catch up on all of the important information you need to successfully kick off your journey at UOW.
Our sessions will cover vital steps such as how to access important student systems, enrol in your course and subjects, plan your timetable, and find support services when you need them.
There are multiple sessions available, however you will only need to attend one.

- Wednesday, 12 March, 10.30 am – 11.30 am
- Monday, 17 March, 10.30 am – 11.30 am
UOW Get Started Workshops:
Kickstart your UOW journey with the UOW Get Started workshops. Over six weeks, you’ll develop key skills for academic and personal success, from navigating UOW’s digital platforms to mastering time management, study techniques, and exam preparation. Join our interactive sessions, enjoy engaging activities, helpful resources, and the chance to win exciting prizes each week!

International Student Welcome Sessions
Description: In this compulsory session for international students, find out all you need to know about starting your journey at UOW. You'll learn about enrolment and support services, plus it's a great opportunity to make new friends. Dates available from January through to March see details in registration.

Description: Kickstart your UOW journey with our exciting range of pre-orientation webinars! From tips and insights to essential info, these sessions are designed to set you up for success before you even step foot on campus.
Get Started at UOW
Date: Thursday, 20th February 2025
Time: 2.00 pm - 5.30 pm
Description: Don’t miss out on our exciting in-person event! Connect with fellow new students through fun activities, participate in mini-workshops to master essential skills for success at UOW, and get personalised support, from enrolment assistance to guidance on key services and programs. We’re here to make sure you're fully set up and ready to kick off your UOW journey with confidence!
Description: You'll receive important information about your Faculty and course, meet and hear from key staff across UOW and connect with fellow students studying in your faculty. Attending and making the most of your Orientation Day will set you up for success at UOW. Each day will commence with Faculty Orientation from 8.30 am to 12 pm, with O-Week Festival from 12 pm to 3 pm.
