It's Go Time! is a tailored schedule of Orientation activities, giving you everything you need to make your time at university the best it can be.
From enrolment support, discovering key resources and opportunities, exploring your new space or creating fun times and new friendships – we’ve got you covered!
These Orientation sessions are for new UOW students commencing in January 2026 and are enrolled in either a:
- Master of Nursing (Pre-Registration), or
- Bachelor of Nursing (Enrolled Nurses - Dip Nursing Entry)

Online sessions can be access on the day by clicking 'View Your Schedule'.

Master of Nursing (Pre-Registration) Orientation Session
UOW Wollongong campus
Date: Monday, 12 January, 2026
Time: 9 am – 3.30 pm
Location: In-person, UOW Wollongong campus
UOW Liverpool campus
Date: Tuesday, 13 January, 2026
Time: 9 am – 3.30 pm
Location: In-person, UOW Liverpool campus (Liverpool Civic Place)
Please note that this will be delivered at the new UOW Liverpool campus at the Liverpool Civic Place Precinct.
You must register for and attend your Master of Nursing (Pre-Registration) Orientation session at your enrolled campus to commence your course.
Academic Skills Support
Students enrolled within a Master of Nursing Pre-Registration will have access to a tailored suite of academic skills support embedded within their intensive course content schedule.
Further details will become available as you commence your course.
UOW students also have access to an extensive range of free academic skills and study support including personalised academic skills consultations.
Bachelor of Nursing (Enrolled Nurses - Dip Nursing Entry) Orientation Sessions
Date: Tuesday, 20 January, 2026
Time:
- Session A: 10 am – 11.30 am
- Session B: 4 pm – 5.30 pm
Location: Online via Zoom
You must register for and attend one of the Bachelor of Nursing (Enrolled Nurses - Dip Nursing Entry) Orientation sessions listed above to commence your course.
Some campuses will be offering an additional optional in-person Campus Orientation & Welcome Session, which will be available within your Orientation registration.
This is not a substitute for the compulsory online Bachelor of Nursing (Enrolled Nurses - Dip Nursing Entry) Orientation sessions listed above.
Academic Skills Support
Kickstart your academic journey with essential information and practical activities with 'Ready, Set, Succeed: Jumping Into Second Year Nursing Workshops'. This program covers:
- Research and Referencing Tips: Learn the specific research and referencing requirements of Australian universities. Gain techniques and practical skills to access quality research materials for your UOW assignments.
- Assessment Types: Understand the common assessment types at UOW and how to complete them to meet university requirements.
- Academic Reading, Writing, and Speaking Skills: Develop your formal academic English. Practice academic language skills that will be essential for your assignments.
'Ready, Set, Succeed' is available to commencing Bachelor of Nursing students, and will be delivered online and in-person at the Wollongong, Bega Valley, Eurobodalla, Liverpool, Shoalhaven and Sutherland campuses.
Program delivery dates and times will vary depending on your enrolled campus. Your tailored 'Ready, Set, Succeed' workshop will be available within your Orientation registration.
UOW students also have access to an extensive range of free academic skills and study support including personalised academic skills consultations.
