Next time you are at the beach, remember to:
- Swim between the red and yellow flags – This area is patrolled by lifeguards and is the safest place to swim.
- Never swim alone – Always swim with a friend or in view of others.
- Check beach signs and warnings – They tell you about dangerous currents, jellyfish, or water quality.
- Know your limits – If you're not a confident swimmer, stay in shallow water.
- Protect yourself from the sun – Wear sunscreen, a hat, and drink lots of water.
