The UOW Student Accessibility Team (SAT) offers confidential advice and resources, and communicates appropriate reasonable adjustments to academics, ensuring the right support is in place throughout the academic journey.

Students with a disability, illness, or medical condition who need assistance with their studies can register with SAT for support. This also includes students who might need temporary support to access their studies.

What is an Access Plan?

An Access Plan is a personalised support plan that helps you study on a level playing field. It outlines simple, practical adjustments that remove barriers and help you succeed.

Think of it as

  • A way to make uni work for you
  • A plan that ensures your teaching staff know how to support you
  • A tool to help you stay on track — even when things get tough

How it works

  • You register with the Student Accessibility team
  • You chat about what you need (confidentially)
  • They create your Access Plan
  • Your teachers are informed — so support is already in place
  • Your information stays private, and you’re always in control of what support you use.
